my (now former) roommate is going to start a blog about cleaning and cleaning products. i said, "i want a blog that's about something!" to which she replied, "you should blog about shoes." so here it is, little erin, my post about shoes. when i have a shoe story, i will faithfully tell it here.
i have a wedding to attend (working toward my 27 dresses!!) this weekend, and all i want is a pair of black heels with a pointy toe and a heel under 6 inches. now you would think that a reasonably sized city with two good malls would have a pair for me. don't feel foolish - i thought the same thing. i found one pair, but first let me explain to you my rules for shoes and handbags, so you will understand why these shoes were unacceptable.
1. i will not spend over $100 on a pair of shoes or a handbag. i don't really care if you think i'm cheap.
2. if i am spending over $50 on a pair of shoes or a handbag, i demand leather. if you are interested in a $70 vinyl purse, i've got some swamp land in florida you might wanna take a look at. again, i don't care if you think i'm cheap.
and there you go. i'm not jessica simpson and i don't have her accessories budget, so get over it.
so...i find these totaly cute black, pointy, 3-inch spike heels that i just love, and they're $104.
to make a long story short, i found a great shoe clearance at the Grand Teton Mall during a trip to idaho falls and found precisely what i needed - for $35. i was so happy, i even sprang for another pair - purple crocodile pumps.

i have had a hard time finding shoes too...it doesn't matter how simple what I want seems. you would think nordstrom would have them...
