in my humble opinion, bridal fairs are only useful for people in the "i plan to get engaged this year" phase of life.
might be that i'm just a little eager (probably), or too decisive (probably not), but by the time the bridal fairs rolled around in january, my being there was a tad useless.
"hi there! looking for a photographer?" no.
"heya, have you found a venue yet?" yes.
"looking for that perfect gown?" found it before i had the ring on my hand.
"looking for a cake?" nope.
in fact, the only vendor i hadn't locked in by the time i went to the bridal show was my florist, but i had already chosen her, even though she didn't know it yet.
so i went looking for basically ideas on details.
what i got was about a thousand emails from overeager wedding planners, photographers, dj's, you name it, all vying for my attention. well, all including me on their mail merge pitches is more like it. haven't opened a single one of their messages.
not too useful for either party.
but i'm not complaining! hey, feeling ahead of the game was encouraging!
and in case you were wondering, my florist is blossom sweet, and i can hardly wait to see my flowers! melissa does such beautiful things.
