yes that's my blog address. also a new game. not unlike "dear abby." it will turn the blog into an advice column, one day a week no month no let's be honest whenever i feel like it.
the first round of advice will be dished out on
tuesday, nov. 18.
how we play is, in the comments section of this post, you ask my advice. this can be about anything. anything! dealing with a pesky coworker, getting a date, peeling an apple...look, i could go on here but the point is: the sky is the limit.
if you're a little sheepish about your question, just post the comment anonymously, or email me your quandary at hollylynnsays at gmail dot com.
this will be fun! send me your conundrum by the 18th and i'll pick one from the pile.

I'd like to know how often you paint your nails and which brand of polish you prefer. :)
My question is.....I am rockin' some kick butt braces right now. I just started facebook and I am trying to post pictures so that you can't see the braces. Um am I lame or what? I am 36 and I am lame, please help.
You know who i am. but I will be anonymous for this one.
I have been waiting for this feature for months! I think you shouldn't delay giving advice, you should post some advice today. My first question: I am a guy and I have a fear of makeup. I am worried about it getting on my face, in my mouth, on my clothes etc. How might I get over this?
Here is my dilema. There are 4 guys interested in me and I dont know how to choose. I dont want to lead any of them on but have to get to know them all. How can I eventually narrow it down to one guy and avoid leading anyone on?
Ooh this is fun! I just stumbled upon your blog this week. My dilemma is: My coworker talks with her mouth full. We all eat together at an office lunch table, and it completely grosses me out to have to stare at the half-digested contents of her lunch while she tells her story. I have tried everything I can think of, short of being completely blunt.
My dogs are too cute. What do I do??
If you only pick one from the pile, let it be Ben's. alright, so I think I'll have to do a poll about this on my own blog, but here you go.
Can a girl like hippie type guys and still wear red lipstick? i wear lipstick to church but kinda have a thing for those granola lookin guys. Will they even give me a chance when they see the obvious girliness or should I go all na-chur-ale?
OOh! I love this idea! I won't steal it, but I WILL participate!
Ok, here goes nothin'...
Dear Holly Lynn,
I have two canker sores in my mouth. Mind you, in all twenty-four years of my long-legged life (or, short-legged, more appropriately) I have never EVER gotten canker sores. My first was about a month ago, and now, another sudden outbreak. Am I doomed to walk the earth forever, a canker sore-ridden freak show? Please help.
Great idea! I don't think this will make the cut, but here is my question.
This has always baffled me. Why do girls like jerky guys who treat them badly? Growing up, I was always "the friend" and by some miracle managed to find an awesome girl who liked me anyway. *whew*
But for all the others out there who might not be as lucky, what is it about being nice that kills the interest?
i like a guy with bad acne. he's a great kisser but sometimes i hesitate kissing him for getting to close to his pimples.
should i tell him it's making me uncomfortable, and suggest an acne cream?
or is this just a sign that i don't really like him that much?
he's really a great guy. i just don't like zits and I've worked really hard to make my complection even.
Totally lovin this idea. Now I can pester you with all my questions via blog comments (and if I can't get you to answer them here I will just IM you at work!)
Here is my question...
I have a great friend that I roomed with at school for two years and we were the best of friends.
Then a year ago the fateful day, her wedding. Ok not really but it was super hard to have her get married.
Since then we have really drifted and that makes me sad. Is there a way for married and non-married friends to still connect? How do you do it?
