can i just tell you

that i only had one diet coke today?

i’m totally serious. now, there are quite a few days when i only have one diet coke, but usually that’s because the one diet coke i had was, oh, i don’t know, a super big gulp (hi, mukesh!).

but today it was just one can. i cracked that baby open about 11am and at 3:30, i was still working on it. by that time of course, it was straight up room temperature. but i didn’t mind, not one iota.

don’t you love it when people use the word “iota?” i think you should use it in a sentence today. i already did.

what does this mean (only having one diet coke, not the word “iota”)? am i losing my taste for the bubbly? has this happened to you before?

good for you! keep working on getting rid of those sodas all together. i just have one every now and then as a treat, and its funny how hard it is for me to get one down now. i'm a hot tea-aholic now. green tea (the good stuff from Japan) is the best! no sweetener needed!

This means one thing, and one thing only... the Second Coming is close at hand. Very close.

I found your blog through Becky's guest posting, and I love it ;) I MUST say...the one can sounds like a huge feat to me. I am a diet dr. pepper addict. I frequent my local crest station drive through on my way to work...and sometimes on my way home as well...oops.

I go through phases with soda in general, but at the current moment I can't make it through a can in 20 minutes like I used to be able to. I usually (gasp) end up throwing some out by the end of the day even. I was going to mention though, that I can hardly stand the taste of Diet Coke anymore. And you of all people should possibly remember my affinity for it in hs. I think I may have overdone it.

I am on like a six can a day habit and can I say, as a friend, I am a little worried about you and your non-coke drinking ways. I am losing an enabler and fellow addict and no one likes to drink alone, ok? There should be a support group for coke drinkers in all stages of recovery, don't you think?

but really, I am proud of you and you are an inspiration to us all.

I used to think that diet Coke made the sun rise in the morning and the moon at night, but after I read about how BAD chemical sweeteners are, I stopped drinking it, and you know, when I think I want one for a treat now, I can't even drink it. Ick. ~NEVER thought I'd say that!

Great health choice!
