do you ever have sunday night pep talks for yourself?
i do. they're usually inspired by my sunday night call with my mom, which is inspirational in general because i heart her. we chat awhile about hopes and dreams and paint colors, and then she asks,
"so, what do you have going on this week?"
to which i respond,
"uhh..."
because, you know, who really thinks about this stuff ahead of time anyway? i usually get together a response that isn't really too sexy, but it gets me thinking about the week ahead, and that's when i make my mental checklist and amp myself up for it.
people i will get to talk to/see.
little goals i need to meet.
whether or not i'll have a payday.
tentative workout schedule.
milestones i'll be closer to after surviving another week.
tv shows i hope aren't showing reruns this week.
chances i might have to buy something fun/go to bed early (they're on an equal scale, excitement wise).
this probably explains why i have a hard time shutting down on sunday nights. too much thinking about the possibility of a fresh, clean week. getting excited. getting stressed. thinking about how i'm going to do it all. thinking, thinking, finagling, thinking, typing, thinking, thinking, finagling (you know, vicky style). after a while, i start to feel like stuart smalley, telling myself my daily affirmations.
anyway...i'm feeling good about this week. are you?
