Have you ever noticed that when someone is attractive, you really want to believe what they say, even when what they're saying to you is straight-up CRAZY talk?
Usually when I'm around someone attractive my mind shuts down but still absorbs so that I can conveniently micro-analyze how idiotically shy I was ... within minutes after the encounter. Just grand. ;)
Honestly? I find I do the opposite. If someone is attractive I find myself immediately distrustful that they could even have a pure or original thought, much less an honest one. I find myself highly skepticle...
Oh my word! This is so true. It's so disheartening too. I work with an amazingly gorgeous guy...who knows he's amazingly gorgeous...but everytime he opens his mouth, I die a little on the inside.

Alex, funny you should mention that, because this was actually inspired by a conversation I had with her over lunch on Saturday. Gotta love her.
Yeah one of my students is super good looking and everytime I hear him talk it is the biggest disappointment of my life
