Greg is my friend.

So on Friday I was at the wonderful California Pizza Kitchen devouring a barbeque chicken chop salad (my first solid food in a week and a half) with my roommates, when one of them, Kathleen, got especially self-helpy, throwing all kinds of gems like:

"You know, my friend Greg taught me that you should never waste your time on someone who doesn't have the decency to call you back."

"You are a fabulous person, and one day someone will realize it and once they do, they'll never let you go. That's what my friend Greg says."

It wasn't until she said:

"My friend Greg always tells me not to waste the pretty," that I realized she had taken an important step in her single girl development. She had chosen to read He's Just Not That Into You, the beacon of wisdom and hope from everyone's favorite Sex and the City writer, Greg Behrendt.
Lucky for single girls everywhere, Greg had a life of public service before he had that awkward talk show. (Unlucky for Greg, he used all his good one-liners in his books, leaving only one for his show: "Continue Rocking." I don't get it.)

Terrible talk show or not, he's still right. You shouldn't waste the pretty.
