can't sleep.

so i'm watching what may be the best chick flick of all time, when harry met sally. nora ephron can really write a girl movie. whenever i watch a chicky film and love it, it's always nora's writing that ropes me in and keeps me begging for more. best line of this film:

i came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.

too bad no one talks like that but whatev. i love it anyway. what do you think? best line from a chick flick is...leave me a comment. very curious about your thoughts.

Best line evah from a chick flick "Derek, you can't help who you fall in love with... you're not supposed to." -Save the Last Dance

Unfortunately, some do talk like that, but when they do, they are usually called stalkers and creeps.

Best line in a chick flick wasn't a line. It was Sarah Jessica Parker grabbing and kissing the guy in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Wow. I love when my wife does that.

Worst line? "I can be brave like you" from Little Women. Makes me cry just thinking about it (the acting, not Claire Danes poor acting of the emotional scene).

Love that line from the movie and most definitely going to watch that movie! As many girls do I am a big fan of Pride & Prejudice and really come to love it more and more each time I watch it because I better understand what they are saying. I love when Darcy says to Lizzy "You've bewitched me body and soul." I also love when he stammers trying to say "I love you" very cute!

One of my favorite chick flick lines comes from When Harry Met Sally as well.
Harry: "And was it worth it? The sacrifice for a friend you don't even keep in touch with?"
Sally: "Harry, you might not believe this, but I never considered not sleeping with you a sacrifice."

Or maybe it's this one: "The fact that you're not answering leads me to believe you're either (a) not at home, (b) home but don't want to talk to me, or (c) home, desperately want to talk to me, but trapped under something heavy. If it's either (a) or (c), please call me back."

I don't know. The whole movie is amazing.

when harry met sally is in my top 10 movies. i was 19 when it came out and i wanted meg ryan's wardrobe. BAD. like bad enough to kill someone to get it. unfortunately, the opportunity didn't present itself.

one of my favorite lines is "you had me at hello" from jerry macguire. i'm a sucker for crazy tom cruise.

c i love this movie and i always think of you when i see it, not in a creepy i love you sort of way, but in a oh i watched this movie with hols for the first time and loved it/ meomories of girls nights way. Favorite line from a chick flick would have to be the speech by Hugh Grant in two weeks notice when he tells Sandra Bullock he loves her at the end, " You see, I gave my word to someone that we wouldn't knock down this building behind me. And normally, and those of you who know me or were married to me can attest to this, my word wouldn't mean very much. So why does it this time? Well, partly because this building is an architectural gem and deserves to be landmarked and partly because people really do need a place to do senior's water ballet and CPR. Preferably not together. But mainly because this person, despite being unusually stubborn and unwilling to compromise and a very poor dresser, is... she's rather like the building she loves so much. A little rough around the edges but, when you look closely, absolutely beautiful. And the only one of her kind. And even though I've said cruel things and driven her away, she's become the voice in my head. And I can't seem to drown her out. And I don't want to drown her out." I blub it.

"How many more people must die so that you might save face?" Said in a very angry voice by Jodie Foster as Anna Leonowens in Anna and the King.

I just like that line. I say it all the time.

It's not really romantic but I guess it's kind of related to the theme of your post... The ones we love the most can invoke the most intense feelings in us. Those feelings aren't always positive.
