slightly disturbed over here.

ok, so i recommended that suzanne vega song (#1 on the playlist) because i thought it was a cute little beat and i just heard it above the sounds of starbucks.

it's totally about domestic violence.

i'm a little disturbed that such a happy sounding song is about such a heavy, scary issue.

so have a safe night. and ladies, hit 'em up style, if needed.

definitely disturbing...how did you figure that out? I don't know if I would have caught on to that if you hadn't said something.

Wow, that song is really depressing. Kinda like how I had to stop listening to "Remember That" on Jessica Simpson's new cd once I actually listened to the words.

CRAP! I forgot to send you that. Facebook message me your address and I'll get it out. Miss you!

I secretly like songs with disturbing twists. It's always fun to have a tune in your head all day just to realize you've been bebopping along to lyrics about suicidal tendencies. Totally kidding. Speaking of likes- your blog.

story of my life. imagine this: a 10-year old white girl from orem heavy into hip hop/funk because of dance. she listens to "everything" she can and loves it. mostly paying attention to the beat for dance purpsoses.

eh hem...ten years later she starts listening to her CDs and realizes what they are about.

sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Yeah - I remembering listening to this song back in Jr. High or High School and then someone told me it was about domestic violence and I almost cried. I said "almost" because I still like the song and sing to it when it comes on FM 100.
