Serendipitous GNO.

Last night, I took myself out to Target. While there, I had the good fortune to run into one Miss Erin, The Queen of Clean herself.

Coincidence? You be the judge.

Never was there a better person with which to peruse the premises of the red big box store, because Erin understands the beauty of Target and how it makes me feel. Much like my willingness to eat at Dairy Queen despite my two years working there in college, she is able to shop at Target after working at not one, but TWO of its stores.

Some things are just good ideas.

I have an irrational love for Target. They have the best of everything and I will defend my stance to anyone who dares challenge it. Once I read that Tina Fey’s idea of a good time was pushing a cart through a big box store, huge fountain drink in hand.

Um…Tina. Tiny Fey. Can you hear me? We are soul mates. Let’s get Big Gulps and go to Target. Also, give me a job on 30 Rock. Thanks in advance.

How funny is that! I love me some quality time at Tar-jjjjay, too. Something about shopping there makes me feel good. And makes me want to smile. I wasn't aware of the Big Gulp idea. There is a Starbucks in my Target, so I've definitely strolled thru the store with that in hand a few times. Actually, a cherry lime-ade slush from Sonic might be a good Target drink, too. Hmmm... might have to test that out this weekend. Thanks for the ideas!

Holls, I share your love. I think I actually love the ACT of shopping more than I love buying stuff... and when they both happen, well... you understand. I've recently taken up "couponing" and so I spend a few minutes almost every day in either a grocery store or a big box store, looking for items I can get for free or almsot free with my coupon collection. Here in the Rex, we're confined to Wal-Mart, and *gulp* K-Mart, but I do sometimes cruise over to I.F. to stroll down the lovely aisles of my favorite big red bulls eye store. *Sigh...*

As you know, I share your intense love of Target and I usually find myself there more than twice a week. It is a very comforting feeling to wander the store with a loved one and the Big Gulp idea about sends me over the top. I think one of the many reasons I love the store so much is that my kids are quiet and happy in the store which allows me to shop even longer. There are plenty of pictures of "doggies!!" for Carter to spot which keeps him entertained. It is a win/win.
