holla at a player when you ready to go.

you know me: artistic. anti-establishment. definitely in to tattoos - big time.

NOT.

which is why i was so shocked to have the time of my little life at an indie dance club last night.

i really have very little rhythm, zero creativity when it comes to dancing and am pretty self-concious. so when i went out with some chicas for chinese hot pot (another post for another day...trust me on this one) and dancing, to say i pushed myself out of my comfort zone (see mom? i can do it.) is the understatement of the year.

looking back on my life, i can think of exactly zero occasions when i enjoyed dancing. there were the school dances, which i spent counting down the minutes till they ended, and the church dances, which i spent engaged in any number of shenanigans with my girlfriends in our long floral dresses and doc marten sandals (you know you wore that outfit too. in 1997 it was hardly polygamist garb.), hoping no one would ask us to dance and that they brought out that punch made of 7-up and sherbet immediately if not sooner.

but this little downtown place was a completely different experience. those artsy kids. they're so non-judgemental. so not catty. so don't grind on each other. and they love their daft punk and michael jackson remixes and i mean l-o-v-e.

i fully intend on returning sometime...but not in the uppity silk camisole and cropped blazer i wore last night...

sounds like you had a great time. Jill said to me a couple weekends ago she wished that she had not taken herself so serious and have some fun. GO for it. You are the hottest 24 year old I know and I am sure I know a lot of them. Dancing is the best, can I come?

i heart you. i want to go. you know how i love me some tatooed grungy boys. i am actaully trying to kick the habit in favor of decent R.M.'s, but sometimes it is just so good to be bad.
