i thought of carrie's phone call: "I wanted to let you know that i'm getting married...to myself. and i'm registered at monolo blahnik," this weekend when i took a jaunt down to phoenix and spent some lovely time at scottsdale fashion square. much akin to the oc's south coast plaza, it's an island unto itself. forever 21, gucci, whatever you're in the mood for - it's there. jac and i shamelessly strutted through in our old navy dresses and plastic flip flops and headed right to neiman marcus where, hallelujah, they were having a shoe sale. we tried on shoes we'd only seen on tv. rows and rows of red-bottomed louboutins and colorful monolos there for the taking. we tried on as many as we could before being hounded for a commitment from a sales associate. you know, i did want the green slingback monolos with the big buckle on the toe, on clearance for $398, but rules is rules.

Green with a buckle? I think that you should have bent the rules a tiny little bit. I am a sucker for shoes, but I two have rule or two as well.

i heart your smart satc references. you need to go get the new marie claire. I know you are thinking why would i buy a silly magazine like that? it has an amazing satc spread. it has four covers with each of the girls on it. amazing.
